This early harvesting period contributes to the tea's delicate flavor and aroma.

Anji Bai is known for its refreshing, delicate, and slightly sweet taste, with a silky texture. It has a light vegetal aroma and a subtle floral note. The tea is prized for its high levels of amino acids, particularly L-theanine, which contributes to its umami flavor and calming effects.

Due to its limited availability and high demand, Anji Bai is often considered a premium tea and commands higher prices compared to other green teas. It is also valued for its potential health benefits, including antioxidant properties and potential stress-reducing effects attributed to its amino acid content.

This gentle green has awakened a new love of green tea in me. The smooth creamy texture and complete lack of astringency leave me in awe, and it always lifts my mood and gives me great energy. I had this tea for the first time over a decade ago when I was living in Vancouver, and still remember that day fondly. I'm really happy to bring it into the Peddler's Bag.
